  • Unlimited, as long as the domain names have not been taken up by anyone else. Hence, reserve your domain name now before it's gone!

    In Singapore, you could select from 6 types of domain names, depending on the nature of applicant.

    • Commercial company registered with ROC: .com.sg
    • Non-profit organisation registered with ROS: .org.sg
    • Educational institution registered with MOE: .edu.sg
    • Government body or statutory board: .gov.sg
    • Network provider registered with TAS: .net.sg

    There is no restriction in applying for .com, .org and .net by anyone from INTERNIC, except .gov, .edu and .mil.

  • How do I know whether my domain name is available?

  • For Singapore domain name (.com.sg), type in your domain name here (without "www"). EG: yahoo.com.sg

    For US domain name (.com), type in your domain name here (without "www"). EG: yahoo.com

  • What is POP Email Address?

  • POP (Post Office Protocol) Email refers to email that is stored on a remote server for you to download later using your favourite email package or other email (POP3) clients, like Netscape Mail, Eudora or MS Outlook, to access your e-mail account.

    POP Email address is associated with your domain name (eg. yourself@yourname.com) and is coming free with any E-Commerce Web Hosting Package you subscribed.

  • What is Email Alias (or Email Forwarding) address?

  • E-mail Alias automatically redirect/forward all messages sent to your new address to your current email address. It's also known as "virtual email address" or "email forwarding address".

  • What is Canonical Domain?

  • It does not look professional by simply creating a sub-folder within a domain name (eg. www.yourname.com/clients). A canonical domain is therefore a much better alternative as it could appear as: clients.yourname.com.
